Enjoyed the Bay Suites!

Bed was clean and comfortable with good lighting. There was a fridge, microwave, and air conditioning in the room. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner was also provided in the bathroom. Managers were responsive via e-mail and text whenever you had questions during the stay.

So, the place fitted my needs, I booked a single room and got a 12x6 room with a shared bathroom. The bed was comfortable and I got a good sleep, yes it's inconvenient to leave the room to use the bathroom but the cost of hotels in Boston at the time of my trip resulted in me taking the room. The area is great, walking distance to downtown and everything that goes with it. Just don't book a room with high expectations of grandeur. It's a place to sleep. There are no staff on site but the check in/out was flawless and the codes provided worked without fault. I would recommend booking here but just be aware that you get what you pay for relative to other more expensive hotels in town.

Decent accommodation for a good price

Economic accommodation, good location, proximity to great restaurants and cafes. Shared washroom between residents can be hard, depending on the other residents' cleanliness. The management has a daily cleaning scheduled. Kitchen is very low on supplies, no spoons or forks could be found. Only bowls and some pans. Good place to stay if you plan to stay out most of the day and only need a place to crash at night and to keep your luggage at during the day.

The condition of the place was sub standard - worse than any youth hostel. Bathroom with huge hole in the ceiling and dirty old air filter left on the hand basin. Advertised as a suite! No plug for sink, no cutlery, very little crockery, good fridge and paper towels. Not serviced in 3 days. Rubbish left for 3 days. No replacement towels. Not 2 rooms sharing bathroom as told. One night at least 3 rooms sharing. Good location but not value for money. It was a noisy area at night.

Wonderful property. However, just to know that the stairs were very steep. And the bathroom is shared. Otherwise very cute area. A little loud but other than that was, I had a wonderful time.

This is a lovely room in an excellent location for a fantastic price. We found a couple great places for breakfast in easy walking distance, and we appreciated easy access to T stations and other destinations. This is an historic structure, so what it lacks in modern amenities it makes up for in historic charm. Unfortunately, an older structure also means more maintenance, and the management seems to have been dropping the ball on some of this. I noticed a few areas with peeling paint or peeling wallpaper. And a major issue in the bathroom was covered up by plastic sheets stapled to the plaster. Additionally, their mismanagement or miscommunication was on stark highlight when a maintenance worker inadvertently barged in on us, apparently having been told that the unit was unoccupied. Very embarrassing all around.

Fine if you’re not fussy

If you’re not too fussy, this place is fine. The location is great and the bed was super comfy. Check in and check out was very easy. My room was very noisy. The window is propped open for the ac vent and the property is on a busy road so the traffic noise is intolerable without ear plugs. Luckily I had some with me. The shared bathroom is OK. It was always free when I needed it but there was a leak from the room above and some of the plaster from the ceiling fell down during my stay. Some of the earlier reviews mention a mouse in the room at night. Thankfully I saw no evidence of mice but I was on the third floor and didn’t bring snacks into the room just in case! I wouldn’t stay here again but it was cheap and served a purpose.

According to price, it is what to be expected. Although the photo's on the website did not match the room. Everything was there. A good bed, a private bathroom and a kichinette. A bit far the nearest shops (supermarket). But nice, quiet, perfect communication. Very well explained in emails upfront arrival about door access etc.

Staying in this hotel like staying at your home

My stay at the Bay Village Hotel in Boston was amazing. To be honest, it was my first experience staying in a self-serving hotel like this. However, everything was good. No one disturbed me, and every time, the hotel was quiet like I was alone in the entire building, and it was convenient.

Reasonable stay in Boston

The unit was very interesting. All the amenities were there. Two issues were that it was not clear that the shared bathroom was not on the same floor as the room. And the setup of the room did not allow plugging in the microwave and the coffee maker if the television was plugged in. I had to move it around and it was very tight to try to do that

Excellent stay

The room is tiny, but has everything you need. Very clean and comfy. The bathroom has good shower and was not busy. The location is central and only 5 min to different lines of subway. Thanks!
