"Very clean and fine hotel with interesting decor. Everything seems either new or very well kept. Perfectly located for exploring Omaha Beach. Nice with small outdoor patio. I would stay there again. Best recommendations. Only minus is the few options for breakfast. The offer in the reastaurant next door is small and thus quite expensive. "
"Very unique hotel! We got to stay in the "stables!" It was beautiful converted into a nice room for 3 with a kitchenette and it was very clean. Do make sure you request breakfast when you check-in for the next day if you will be wanting it. This needs to be "pre-ordered."

"Nous avons été charmés par ce lieux d’hébergement . Nous étions dans le bâtiment principal . Très propre , lit confortable et personnel très accueillants . Un lieux d’hébergement classe 3*** mais pour nous serait beaucoup plus un 4 **** par sa qualité d’hébergement et sa propreté . Il n’y a pas de climatisation mais ils fournisse un ventilateur alors nous avons été très confortable . "
"The Belle Normandy was in an excellent location and the rooms were very comfortable and felt particularly spacious after a few nights in Paris! The hotel was a short walk from anything you’d want to see in Bayeux and the proprietors were friendly and helpful. Parking, which I had been worried about, turned out to be very easy - and Vince the location was so convenient, once I parked, we didn’t need our car for the rest of our stay there. "
"The hotel is beautiful, in an old mansion that was once inhabited by writer Gustave Flaubert. The rooms were nicely sized, and room amenities (water, coffee, etc) were replenished everyday of need be. Staff were So friendly and helpful. Our only constructive criticism is that the WiFi was not very strong: it was in and out. However everything else was wonderful! "
"It was a wonderful stay in a French chateau in the countryside. We rented a car so there was no issue with transportation but I’m not sure how you would get around if you didn’t have one. Our room was on the top floor but they helped carry the suitcases up as there was no elevator. I was worried about not having air conditioning but there was a fan in the room and when the windows were open it had a nice cross breeze so it wasn’t an issue. "Villa Lara was exceptional in all categories above!! If you are spending time in Normandy or Bayeaux, hands down this is the only place to stay. Don’t even consider another hotel. The location is awesome. The rooms were very comfortable, updated and clean. The hotel staff especially Julian were outstanding.
