"This is a good choice to have the convenience of a modern hotel in a vary traditional and historic Japanese setting. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the two nearest metro stations, but you can take the walk through the Imperial Garden. The south stop offers direct service to Kinkauji Temple on the 204 and the north stop offers direct service to Gingakuji Temple on the 203. And the Imperial Palace is right across the street. "The Screen is an amazing hotel! Our room was very beautiful and well-designed. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and the staff thoughtfully accommodated all of our dietary restrictions. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and attentive. The desk staff even gave us dry umbrellas when we came in with wet ones. Fantastic service!! It is very well-located as well. We will stay here again for sure!"
