But the room had plaster patched that needed to be painted so looked unattended to. The breakfast was unexceptional & expensive. Other than those two things - it was fine for the price."

"I booked this for my family during my wedding and wow is all i can say. The soace was stunning and Harriet and Giles just could not do enough for us. I was blown away by theirckindness and generosity. To the point at which they let us put my wedding cake in the fridge. Honestly the best hosts ive ever had. Thanks so much guys i know it trueky meant the world to my mum. "

"Very expensive for what it is, room very dark and gloomy, needed lights day and night, shower leaked out on the floor also very difficult to use, especially for ladies that don’t want to get there hair wet, we were charged for breakfast that we didn’t have, we went for my husband 80 th, and I asked if they could do a cake or something, and the waitress ( seemed embarrassed) 1 scoop of ice cream on a plate with happy birthday scrolled on and a very small sparkler it was really pathetic."

"The location was great, but the hotel itself was very disappointing. There was a smell of cigarette smoke throughout the building. The room was smaller than expected. Bathroom facilities were acceptable. Breakfast was advertised until 10 o’clock in the elevators however that was only Saturday and Sunday hours. It ended earlier on weekdays. Very few options. Coffee, tea, juice, fruit, sliced cheese, sliced meat. No eggs I would not recommend this hotel"

The Kings Head is well situated for exploring Hampshire via public transport and/or car and seems to be a bit of a hub for local residents. The room along with the rest of the hotel is decorated to a good level to make our weekend stay comfortable."

"Unsatisfactory. No kettle in the room—I had to ask twice. Restaurant service was slow and inattentive. The steak pie had very little gravy, and the same staff member was on her phone at the service counter, so I couldn’t request more. No offer of dessert. The bedroom door emits a mini alarm when opened, which is irritating late at night. The walls are thin, with corridor doors slamming and disrupting sleep. "If you like to be constantly disturbed throughout the night and a gratuitous early morning wake up call, then let me tell you - this place has got just the room for you! Room 202 will not disappoint! Situated directly above the kitchen/ staff area, this room is perfectly positioned for a nightmare stay. Whilst in this room you can expect music and kitchen noise until 10pm and you will really enjoy a very early morning wake up (talking 5am ish) from staff preparing breakfasts, whistling, plates...
