"Room was good, needs a little updating as the bathroom floor had dark patches."

"Breakfast selection was excellent.Coffee was terrible. no second cup of coffee offered. we saw the hotel from the street. a sign with an arrow said parking for the hotel.we fpllowed this instruction 3 times. we went back to the high street and parked in a disabled space. we went into the hotel and the receptionist came out and opened the adjoining gate so we could park in hotel parking.Receptionist was good.Coffee and milk provision in room could have been better. provision of bath sheets only...

"Wij kwamen pas begin van de avond aan, en werd vriendelijk ontvangen door de dame van de receptie. Kamer was op de bovenste verdieping en was schoon en zag er mooi uit. Wij hebben daar ontbeten. Er was een ruime keuze eten en drinken. Was erg lekker. Zeker een aanrader."

"I really enjoyed this property for two nights. It was a self check in - check out. A packed breakfast was left in the room with fresh fruit , orange juice and milk including teas and coffee packets. Very handy for our visit to Stonehenge."

"Rooms were nice and clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Had the worst nights sleep of my life though. Had to move rooms at 12am as couldn’t get to sleep in my first room due to a constant drone sound from a pump in the building. Reception staff moved me immediately. Finally settled down in the new room only for the fire alarm to go off at 2am. I’m sure my experience would’ve been fine had it not been for those problems"

The host was very nice and friendly; she came out to help us with things we could have read in the info packet she’d emailed, but she didn’t display the least bit of annoyance. Instead, she conversed with us a bit about the property. "Lovely room lots of character. The food is excellent and clearly very popular indeed the local area, definitely reserve a table. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They had a breakfast sandwich ready for me to leave early for work which was much appreciated. Will definitely stay again "

"The cost for the rooms, dinner and drinks was very expensive for what it was. The bedroom I stayed in had a broken blind which let the light in, the bedside lamp was also broken, the Manager was grumpy, but two very nice waitresses. Otherwise not to be recommended at that price."

A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. "Loved this place and the people. It is a little far from main attractions, Salisbury and Stonehenge. About 10-15 miles. But it is so charming. Food is fantastic and building is historic. Be sure to have right converters for plugging things in as there are no USB ports in the rooms. No AC and we arrived during a short heat wave. Bed very comfortable and the soaking tub in the room was great for cooling down."
