"Room was clean, lift didn’t get swept in the 5 nights I was there and had a lot of dried mud in it. I extended by a couple of nights because my friends were still there and reception man wasn’t very helpful. Had to do it online, even though I would have had an alumni discount if I did it at the desk. The map is entirely unhelpful for the parking if you don’t know your way around campus. "For what we paid, this was excellent value for money. The room was a little dated, but perfectly comfortable and the bathroom has been returned very nicely. Really helpful staff, super clean room and breakfast was relatively basic, but had several options and was plentiful. It doesn't have many frills.....but you are paying a no frills price. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again"

"Hotel is of the older variety in expansive grounds service was good and staff helpful. If you are traveling there be VERY VERY aware that main drive into hotel grounds is almost undrivable and hotel should advise all guests of this the rear entrance is bad but easily navigated. I inadvertently took rear entrance on way in (missed turn off gps immediately redirected to rear entrance) when I left I took the only other route out and didnt think I was going to make it out. "Lovely little stay in the Devon countryside, pool was great, staff were excellent. Property needs a little touch up here and there but rooms were big, gym was good and if you’re into golf it’s perfect."
