"Very friendly staff who were attentive and chatty. Always saying that if you needed anything else just ask. Breakfast was lovely. Ideally situated close to the river which made for a very pleasant walk alongside the river into the City just 5 minutes away. Room was clean and tidy. A lovely 3 night stay. My only criticism is that the wi-fi was very hit and miss, frustratingly dropping out very often."
"Really nice stay - modern trendy room with a turntable and four poster bed - lovely pantry room and a really cool bar with a working model train - very friendly nice service in the bar - one word of caution is that we did get blocked in in the car park!"

Only slight blip was the water pressure of the shower. But thks did t detract from a lovely weekend away. Will certainly look to book again. "
"The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction."
"Booked a room the night before my graduation. The hotel was one of the cheaper ones in the area but exceeded expectations. Modern interior, nice bar and cosy but spacious rooms. We had a slight issue with cleanliness in our room, but the manager couldn’t do enough to apologise and rectify this for us. Would stay again if in the area."
"Our trip didn’t quite go as planned, but the hotel staff were amazing. After our flight was cancelled, we had to cancel our original booking, but managed to get a later flight. Carol, the manager, came in on her day off to help sort things out so we wouldn’t be charged twice.
The food was also great; my husband said his fish and chips were some of the biggest he’s had (and he’s had a lot!).
The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed including tea and coffee, a TV, fan, iron...
