"It was a pleasant stay at The Queens Hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival. The position is perfect for visiting the Temple, overlooking the lake in Kandy but the traffic noise is incredible. Yes you are right in the heart of the city so not unexpected but trying to sleep is not easy. Room was clean and adequate and probably once was quite something but now old fashioned and very basic. There are no frills, no luxury and although our bathroom had a bath it was impossible to use it as took...

"Staff was very courteous and helpful This place has potential. It is a bit out of the way, but provided excellent views because of its location on a hill.
We expected the hotel to respond to your WhatsApp questions about whether they are still open and functioning after the hurricane but didn’t get a response.
Fortunately they were open when we arrived.
We’d stay there again if we are back in Kandy. "

"Nice clean room. Hot shower, soft bed, and a working mini fridge. Enjoyed the balcony, which faces the street. When I booked the room, I thought it said "mountain view" which is true, but a bit of a stretch. Restaurant is pretty good; staff are polite. Check-in was a bit rushed; otherwise, no problems."

"The location is excellent, though the access roads are a bit challenging due to the property being situated high in the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful, including the restaurant staff, who were great, welcoming, and very attentive. Breakfast options were somewhat limited, but still decent. The swimming pool is in a beautiful location."
