While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. "We were here for a couple of days and had a wonderful stay! The place is kept clean, and it sits right by the ski hill. Nothing beats a soak in the hot public bath after a day of skiing. "Great stay at Hotel Takimoto. Had the all inclusive package which included all food, alcohol and snacks. Snacks/soft drinks/beer were available all day. Food was great, varied and presented well in a nice dining setting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ski/snowboard hire included too. Ski boots and skis were of good quality and newish, however snowboards were not good. Lovely hotel with big fireplace and marshmallows to roast. Great place to relax after a day skiing. We had a family 5 bedroom room which had 2 separate rooms (2 single beds plus 3 tatami mats in another room). Location at Takamagahara was excellent - central to all the ski areas. After some initial issues with our booking, hotel Takimoto came good and we can happily say we had a fabulous stay and can recommend"
