"As advertised. Very cute room. It’s very small but you don’t want to stay in your room while you’re in Rome!! Communal kitchen. (Nothing in there) Comfy bed. Owner was amazing. Met us when we got there and showed us where things were. Loved it"

"Our short stay here could not have been better in every way: communication, tremendous helpfulness of staff (Claire and Bruno), comfort of room and amenities, interesting historic building, elevator, LOCATION (coffee shop and grocery right there, walking distance to piazzas, restaurants, shops, historic sights. I would go back tomorrow and wish we could!"

"Unfortunately, our experience at Mama’s Home Rome was very disappointing. Andrea was extremely unhelpful and even appeared to fake a back injury to avoid assisting us with our luggage up several flights of stairs. While the bathroom was modern and nicely renovated, the rest of the apartment felt somewhat dirty, uncomfortable, and not particularly well maintained. Overall, we would never stay here again and would strongly recommend choosing one of the many better accommodations available...

"Hotel Smeraldo is a hidden gem in a perfect Location to all the major sites. Restaurants we’re just steps away from hotel. All the staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to assist you. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Rome to stay there. Another huge plus is the rooftop bar and restaurant. Very quaint and inviting."

"Loved sitting outside the entrance patio in the evenings and watching the world go by. Sometimes the cushions were taken in a little early, although I’m sure I could have asked to have them brought back out"

"We enjoyed our stay! Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was our favorite thing. The cons: our room was fairly small and you had to step up another level to get into the bathroom. Because of this, in the middle of the night, my husband fell and cut his arm badly. The staff was very nice though, and tried to take care of the cut. It was hard to find the doors Into the hotel and the doors out of the hotel if that makes sense."

"This is a little B & B not a hotel. We were dropped off and surprised as it was inside an apartment building. But boy once we went inside it was lovely! We got to experience an authentic night in Rome. Thankful our journey took us to this little B&B. We had an early morning flight and our host took care of setting up transportation and even made sure we had a bite of breakfast early morning. She gave us tips on where to shop and even set up dinner reservations."
