Wonderful place to stay for Versailles Palace- so close! Extremely clean - could not fault - only thing I would say is you have to hand in keys when going out which then you have wait for when returning if reception is not available.

We enjoyed staying in the Hotel d'Angleterre. Our room was clean, roomy and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect for a visit to Chateau Versailles, or for catching the RER to Paris - both Chateau and station an easy walk. Restaurants and bars are also nearby. The hotel is under renovation but the rooms and breakfast area are completed to a very good standard. Parking can be had nearby in the Cathedral carpark. Recommend this hotel.

We arrived a few hours early after a long flight, and the young lady at reception didn’t hesitate to check us in a full four hours in advance. We were very happy and grateful for that thoughtful gesture. The location—one of the main reasons we chose this hotel—was absolutely perfect. It’s just a five-minute walk to the Palace and equally close to the train station, with easy access to shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious and spotless, and it was cleaned daily during our stay. The bathroom was also large and very well lit. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we loved the fireplace and the overall layout of the room. Breakfast is available every day, though it is not included in the room rate and is charged per person rather than per room. There were a few minor drawbacks. The closet was quite small, so we ended up keeping most of our clothes in our luggage. Another small inconvenience was that the toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom, meaning you have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands—nothing major, but worth noting. The only truly unpleasant issue was the lack of soundproofing from the room above; every dropped object or heavier step was clearly audible. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and well worth the price. For a 2-star hotel, it exceeded expectations and offered excellent value.

Budget hotel close to Versailles Palace

I stayed here partly for price and partly for the location as it's close to the Versailles Palace, but I won't be staying here again and I would recommend a slightly farther location for better rooms. Facility: It's an older hotel and is showing it's age.  They were in the middle of remodeling some rooms, so maybe these will be better in the future.  My room was very small and the worst part is that it didn't have AC because I visited during a heat wave.  They did offer breakfast, but I didn't not purchase this option so I can't speak to what it provides. Location: It's very convenient to the Palace of Versailles and restaurants.  Everything is walking distance and was one of the reasons I chose this hotel.

Great little hotel... rooms are small but well kept. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The property does not have an elevator and you will have to carry your own bags up.

Property was going through renovations. The 2 pillows you get for your double bed are flat and small. The room was very clean but extremely small. No coffee maker or fridge in room. First room I stayed in with no coffee maker. The room was ok but the rest of the hotel just looked kind of run down. Very convenient location but I probably wouldn't stay here again. The staff was extremely kind though.

Great location, fast check in and check out with great cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and attractions all close by. This is a 2 star hotel and the room and facilities reflected that. We paid for a slightly bigger double room but it still felt very very small not helped by the very dark decor. The room had everything we needed - a bed, bathroom and nice courtyard view. For the price I'd have no issues staying again but if you're here for a few days you might want something bigger.
