Tunku Abdul Rahman, Gaya Island

"We had an amazing time at Gaya Island Resort. It is a luxury resort with great food and drinks, comfortable rooms, and incredible views/proximity to the ocean. Worth noting is that this is in a nature reserve, surrounded by jungle and ocean, and the resort embraces and supports this, which means coexisting with wildlife. You can walk out from the resort beach to their own protected reef and swim with dozens of species of beautiful fish (equipment is available for free). We didn’t see any snakes,...

"We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin for 3 nights. First night, rats were running around between the bathrooms and bedrooms so we called the front desk and they sent 2 maintenance guys and they laid multiple mouse traps. Over the next 2 night, every night we caught one (large size rat) and the whole cabin stinks with rat urine. I understand this is a wood cabin and we are staying on a Island with expected wildlife. But unfortuately my wife and daughter could not tolerate it. The daily room...

"Excellent stay. Rooms were lovely and food very good"

"Great stay! Clean, modern room and a good location."

"This was my first visit to KK (and Asia!) and what a welcome the staff at CJ Residence provided. Given their location in the heart of downtown amidst the hustle and bustle, a first time visitor might have troubles finding the Residence. However, they sent me their whatsapp contact in advance of my trip, and subsequently sent very detailed instructions on their location. They also asked for my ETA which I thought was standard practice. Above and beyond was staff waiting outside the Residence with...

"Great location and certainly easy to access to the food."

"Everything was 10 out of 10 breakfast was excellent. The only thing I don’t like is the bar by the pool it’s not necessary. There was a bar on the rooftop."

"Helpful staff that let me check in early :)"

"Hotel's location is superb...on Gaya street with full of restaurant..and a block away to Suria Dept store"

"Unit was modern, clean, functional. Jessleton is an excellent location, right next to the mall and near the jetty and waterfront. Beware of phishing. I received multiple whatsapp phishing attempts related to this booking - they knew my name, and when and where I had booked to stay, so messages were convincing at first glance, but were not legit."

"As a solo traveller in my 60s i felt looked after ... the staff were genuinely interested in me and so kind and thoughtful. I stayed 10 nights and it was just wonderful! Fabulous breakfast included!"
