Good Base for a night’s stay in KK

A well run hotel right in the centre of town. Very tasty a la carte food prepared well and a pleasant Skybar where one can also dine. We used as a transit base for one night. The immediate destination wouldn’t justify a longer stay. There are beach resorts further up the coast.

Why I booked this hotel is to join midnight trail run event held around Mt. Kinabalu. I thought that if I could return before checkout, I could take a shower and take a bit rest. I told that a reception, then she served for me (1)early checkin to take a rest and (2) later checkout to take a rest! I much appreciated.

The rooms are big and clean. Staffs’ service is good. Location of hotel is good. Breakfast spread is decent but the taste of food is underwhelming. Meat was overcooked, kuih is very sweet, bread selection tasted like supermarket’s. The jams are still in the supermarket’s bottle. Given the price per room, kitchen should attempt to make their own bread, jam etc. Teh tarik was super sweet and the black coffee tasted very diluted, esp once milk was added in.
