The hotel is superbly clean and exceeded my expectations. All the staff members are friendly and serve with a smile. The check-in process was smooth, with all details clearly explained to me. When we (4 people) were checking in on 10/23, we waited in line for 15 minutes, and finally when it was our turn, the front desk asked us to use the only check-in machine, while front desk was completely empty. Also the room water faucet was very inconvenient to use. You can only either turn on to max, or off. There is no way to adjust the water flow, which everytime I turn it on, it'll make a mess. Room was very clean though. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

The room was very small by western standards and a bit of a walk. Defoe something near ueno station the price as right and the staff friendly. The breakfast had limited options but ok. Overall close to Ueno park and able to get to all of Tokyo easily.

Typican new simple Tokyo hotel

This hotel is clean and a typical Tokyo hotel of its generation. The environment is a bit hectic. One gets the feeling that the hotel is attempting to get you in and out as soon as possible. It is in a neighborhood that is 100% Korean in every direction limiting the dining choices.
