"The room was very nice, well maintained. A little cool in the morning as the heat did not work. The restaurant was terrible. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, it was as hard as a rock, I could not eat it. Breakfast was not much better. I broke a tooth eating the bacon."

"The hotel is advertised incorrectly on all sites. The hotel is not a bad place to stay, but is overpriced for the experience. There is no laundry or dry cleaning services, there is only one hot tub for the entire hotel, there is no room service other than cleaning (and they will come in your room whether you have the Do Not Disturb sign on the door or not), the included breakfast is not worth it since there is much better food within a 2 min walk. "Everything was great! The hotel has an excellent location. You can walk everywhere from the hotel or take the bus just steps off the hotel. The hotel provides you with buss passes if needed. The hot tub and fire is great. We went end of April so it was not packed which was nice however most of the lakes were still frozen. Still Banff was magical. "Canalta Lodge is great! It’s not “downtown” so it’s very calm & quiet outside. Btw, downtown is a short 10 min walk, or even shorter ride on one of the Roam buses. I stayed in a decent-sized room with 2 queen beds; the only downside there was the closet space is tiny, especially if you’re bringing jackets.
