I mentioned that we would be celebrating our daughter’s bday while we were there and they knocked on the door with a huge slice of chocolate cake and a candle and sang Feliz cumpleanos. It was the sweetest thing and so special for our family. It was such a kind gesture and it set the tone for the rest of our time there. Breakfast was a lovely production. "The location and property are absolutely beautiful! Incredible views! The grounds are kept meticulously! The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms are simple and yet elegant at the same time. The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant."

"Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. The private trail was a moderate hike to a gorgeous waterfall and was a great taste of the beauty of the area without the crowds of Tenorio. Our 6 year-old loved seeing the red-eyed tree...

"What a great place at a great location. The rooms were super comfortable. My wife was sick when we arrived but rested and got better. The location is great for getting around, but also a great place to sit as well. It has a sort-of hostel feel but with all private rooms and very clean and organized. "We picked this hotel by the ratings on Expedia which most rated it a 10. The hotel itself its views of the volcano the scenery was beauitful. It doesn’t get much better. The breakfast was very good also. Pool was real nice. The cons were it’s not close to the town it’s at least 30 minutes. Not much in between really nothing. To me the biggest downfall was the room. Beds were real hard. No mirror except bathroom sink. Shower had tons of sewer flys coming from drain. Which was gross. No mini...
