"The service was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was conveniently located nearby. I will definitely stay at this location again!"

"My airport taxi was unable to park at the curb, and the Porter would not let him wait for me to get my bag. This has caused considerable inconvenience. With the exception of J, the concierge, no one in the hotel was able to provide even a few minutes charge for my phone. The front desk was helpful when I could not find my glasses. The area is incredibly loud, the view poor, but the Bourbon Restaurant is nice. There is a lot of skunkweed smell surrounding the exterior perimeter of the hotel so keep that in mind. I would avoid staying here again and regrettably cannot recommend even though the staff is very friendly and tries to help."

"This hotel was very clean, had comfortable beds, and the staff was great. What we were surprised about was the $48 a day for valet parking. We were upset about the cost and that that was the only option for our car to be at the hotel. The breakfast was fantastic also. Just make sure you ask about parking if you are looking to stay in the French Quarter. "

"The facility was bit outdated, the carpet was dirty!!! You had to request for your room to be cleaned 24 hours prior, however they do not offer the basic necessities such as towels and toilet paper for a longer stay without request. We had to request these items multiple times throughout the stay. On top of all of that my daughter found a Huge Dead Roach in the second bathroom of the suite!!!!! The staff were very nice and the location was great. But overall I would not recommend this hotel. You pay way too much money for those suites to find a large roach in the bathroom "

"The hotel was neat and super clean. The facilities were flawless. The breakfast in the morning was superb in Barry who was the manager of the breakfast, was super friendly, always talkative and given 150% of his effort in time. He was always given recommendations and looking for extra bananas and fresh fruit in the kitchen for the guest. In the reception, Steven was extremely respectful and always assisting others. And the daytime ladies, forgive me because I don’t remember your names, Ware phenomenal. Very helpful and accommodating to all request made by me and my girlfriend. They got us bottle openers and champagne glasses, and even held our car on valet for a couple extra hours. This is a hotel that most definitely is worth it because he’s center outside the French Quarter, but in an area where amazing restaurants and good night life happens. An Uber or Lyft is your three minutes to French Quarter on this less than nine dollars even then midnight. We will definitely be coming back to the Mercantile hotel."

"Yes the gym is nice"

"The room was clean, slightly outdated, but comfortable. The pool is heated and a decent size, there are some pebbles on the floor of the pool, could use resurfacing, not terrible though. There is an option for a time share presentation for those who are interested although the concierge was not pushy. The hotel is connected to Mr. Eds restaurant, tried several dishes, most was mid but they serve large portions. My room had a view facing Canal and the water, very nice with the curtains open at night. The bell staff was super helpful with luggage coming and going. There are some daily fees and a daily parking fee to be aware of, so take extra funds for that. Overall, the stay was good, and the area is close to where you want to be but not directly in the middle of the action. I would stay again."
