"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. The bed was comfortable and clean, air conditioner worked great and the shower was excellent. "The clean and spacious parking, secure and included in the price, is a major plus point. The full English buffet breakfast is really excellent. Even at the end of the breakfast window, nothing is dry or overcooked, including the eggs. All members of staff were welcoming and helpful. The lounge has a lovely view of the river. "I recently stayed at Hotel du Vin York and, to be fair, the stay itself was pleasant overall. The room was comfortable, the hotel has a nice atmosphere, and I paid for one of the top-tier rooms expecting a premium experience consistent with previous stays I’ve had not only here, but at other Hotel du Vin properties across the country.
