While room is on the slightly small side, the staff is the highlight and extremely helpful. Make sure to book the room with balcony and definitely worth the extra. If you want a true local hutong experience, go for it."

"I booked two rooms at the Renaissance Beijing for my friends, one of whom uses a wheelchair. They were kept waiting a long time during check-in, and there was confusion locating the reservation. I had to send over the PDF with both confirmed booking IDs, which was frustrating. I’m not sure if this was an issue with Expedia or the hotel, but typically bookings should be easy to find by last name, so this shouldn’t have taken that long. To their credit, they upgraded his room for the inconvenience. The upgraded room was spacious and worked well for his wheelchair needs. The place was clean, and they were happy with their rooms overall. A rough and confusing check-in experience, but the stay itself was comfortable in the end."
