  • Q Square mall-- not exactly a tourist destination (there are many malls in Taipei) but it's a nice mall located close to Taipei Main station (Metro/MRT) if you're looking to escape the heat. Huge food courts here too with lots of options (and obviously shopping). This mall also has a movie theatre, which shows mostly American movies (but cheaper). It's also about a 10-15 walk to the historic Dihua street, one of the oldest areas of the city which was once the main market area (still lots of interesting shops there that cater to the local...good photo opps too with some older buildings)

Great place to stay, right near the main Taipei station. Lots of great options to eat and shop right near by. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Walls are pretty thin, with minimal soundproofing, so earplugs are advised.

Cons: Cleanliness of the room, particularly bathroom, can definitely be improved on. Would also appreciate having the dryer repaired in the facility so travellers can do laundry within the hotel. Pros: very convenient area with the biggest station nearby within walking distance to get around the city of Taipei. Many food/dine options and convenient stores for those late night cravings. The infamous Ximending is only a 15 minutes walk for me ;)

Great location, close to transit and food. The room is over-priced and poorly furnished. For a room with two single beds there are only one electrical outlet and one hook for hanging things. Sound proofing is poor: Road traffic noise can be heard even on the 4th floor.

Excellent location for a short stay!

The hotel is right opposite Taipei main station, making it very easy to travel within or outside of the city. I booked a single bed but got upgraded to a double bedroom, nice gesture from the staff indeed! The room is compact but is more than enough for a solo traveller. Mattress is comfy, shower is powerful, the place is clean overall so I’m happy. You cant hear the outside noise but partition inside is rather poor, if one talk very loud you can hear it inside your room.

The location is not hard to find if you drive but hard to find if you take the public transportation. The lobby of this stay is at the 3rd floor of a business building. The shared bathroom and shower are cleaner than the US bathroom. We have party of 3 and the beds are connected with one headboard and can’t not be separated. They prepared toiletries including toothbrush and paste with clean towels. One down site is that the noise from the refridgerator is too annoying to be ignored and disturbing to a sleep.

This hotel was a good budget option very close to Taipei Main Station, so very convenient for getting around the city on the MRT. The rooms without a bathroom are small, but mananageable for a few days and they do have a the advantage of a wash basin. I also found the bed was comfortable enough. The hotel had a pleasant kind of budget industrial chic feel to it and there was a nice area where you could chill and eat the breakfast or other food you had bought from outside. Even though it's very close to Taipei Main Station, it took me a while to find after coming from the airport. Make sure you take the M6 Exit for the Caesar Park Hotel. If you arrive before 10 pm, you can take a short cut through the so called Caesar Park mall - mainly some small restaurants - and when you get up the stairs on the other side and get onto the street, the Nys Loft is about 50 metres on your left. The hotel occupies the 3rd and 4th floors of the building it's in.

Excellent stay. Can’t recommend enough

I did not worry about parking in Taipei. I don’t recommend driving in Taipei to anyone as it’s hard to find parking and Nys is right next to Taipei Main Station, a direct shuttle right to Nys. Uber is very affordable and MRT makes it easy to get around if you have the time. Hotel is in excellent location to many places to eat and within reasonable walking distance to many well known places in Taipei. Hotel itself is very modern and clean, and I really appreciated the front desk always being available 24/7 to answer questions and give me recommendations. My room had fantastic AC and a very comfortable bed. I had a single room and one large and one medium suitcase and was perfectly fine on room size. Laundry was easy to figure out and a wash and dry cycle was 100TD, and you can get coins at front desk if you only have bills. Bathrooms and showers are very clean and convenient and just down the hall. The kitchen and common room were convenient and nice, even though I didn’t use them much. They offer room service everyday if you need it, and will change sheets and towels as you need to, although I was there for 6 days and only needed one exchange (trying to be green). Overall, very convenient, very nice, great location, cleanliness was at a high level, and had everything you need. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Taipei as it’s the perfect location for everything, really. No car needed or any of that hassle.
