My Taipei solo trip

Great value hotel in heart of Taipei

Great price and location in Taipei. Love the fairy forest theme they have going, and the free snacks/drinks throughout the day are a nice touch. Breakfast is also an excellent value for just a few dollars, offering a good range of hot Taiwanese foods, as well as a few of the usual North American (ex. toast, cereal). Was also great that they allowed luggage storage and chilling in their lobby area (which has various forms of entertainment) both before and after check-out.

Short trip in Taipei

Second time staying in this hotel. Price was higher now. Service is still good with bowl noodles and snacks supply all day. Bicycle is free to borrow too. Overall is good but nearby a lots of hotels too.

This hotel is very cute and trendy. My room could use a bit of an update, but I would stay here again based on the service and the location of the hotel. All the staff were very nice and helpful and anything you could possibly need is in the area, shopping, ATMs, food, a night market plus other attractions and the metro is only a five minute walk away. Also, I had the breakfast twice during my stay and I thought it was a good value. Plenty of options and it’s mostly home style cooked food, very good stuff.

Located in the middle of city center, it was very convenient to reach anywhere. Free snack and drink were reachable 24 hours a day. No windows, but if you just come back to sleep or take rests, who would need windows anyway?

Very great hotel. We are staying on our 1st 3 days in Taiwan. After visiting other cities, we are coming back to this hotel before heading back to Bali. So we requested the hotel to keep our luggage so we can collect them after the visits. The hotel have a small but cozy room. I think it is well enough for budget hotel. They have many snacks and amenities so we’re well fed during our trips. Lol. Will come back again to this hotel or any fawn group hotels in the future, especially we weren’t able to visit hualien due to earthquake during our visit.

This is my second time staying at Finder's Hotel, I do adore the conveniency, price. It was around 10-15 mins walk from the airport express, and 5-8 mins to MRT station ( depending which one you taking). They offer cup noodles and snacks for all hotel guests, breakfast buffet is offered to certain room types as well. Otherwise it would costs around $220 TWD / visit. The staff was very accommodating, as I was staying for 13 nights. The first room was not as quiet as preferred, the first morning there was even some ticking sounds from the celling. They were able to offer me to view the other room, and check in to that room instead. Walls are thin, you can still hear what happening in the elevator lobby of your floor. Good thing is around 10/11pm, it seems to be better. I would actually recommend this hotel to those for short visits to Taipei !

Standard not living up to the price (even higher price on weekends). Rather small and dark room. The first day we were feeling cold, but the second we got an electric heater. We found out to put a towel at the gap under the door to avoid the draught. Breakfast was not included.

Breakfast need to be purchased. Guest Room is very small, yo got less than 20 inches clearances around the bed. Common Corridor is narrow too, someplace even less than 24" wide. Coffee & hot water are not 24 hrs available to all guests as they advertised because it is located inside the restaurant. Cleaning service for current guest is not their priority. Their priority is to clean the check-out guest rooms first so they can rent them out. For the current guests, they will clean it the last usually is in the late afternoon like 3~4:30pm per cleaning staffs & front desk. Lack of Elevators. Two hotels and a stock exchange company in a 13 stories bldg with only 1 guest elevator and 1 service elevator available. The replacement of all the elevators expect to be finished for another 3~6 months. Restaurant staffs are not friendly, Front desk staffs are lack of skill and ability to handle/resolve any situation/problems. Manager is not available at all. Lots of homeless people near the hotel, not recommended to go out alone at night.
