"Recently finished three nights in San Diego and was very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Bay club. Had never really heard of it, but we come down to San Diego about once a year. Loved the neighborhood, stayed with two adults a 9 and 11 year old. Rooms were clean, well appointed and perfect for our purposes. Loved staying at a smaller hotel, it’s nice to not be at a huge hotel with tons of people. Bar / restaurant was great, ate there a couple times when we didn’t want to leave. Pool and hot tub were perfect, with a great view of the marina. Only one complaint I could think of, was no ice machine. But the people at the restaurant/ bar were always happy to fill our bucket or reusable bottles. But if unit were late at night, or you needed a bunch of ice this might be a bit annoying. Other than that most likely will stay again!"

"The lanai wasn’t the same one from the picture, and neither was the bathroom. Our lanai was dirty and covered in bird crap. I had to clean out the drawers myself before we put our items in, they had crap in it. We didn’t get what was shown to us, nor what we paid for. If I personally pick the room, and every different room options has pictures attached to it, I expect to get what I chose. And we didn’t. It was extremely disappointing. Also make sure the front desk has manners. They are the very first people we see when we come into the resort. They should be welcoming and smiling, with positive attitudes. You know warm. Don’t have a nasty unwelcoming attitude. Go work somewhere where you can be hidden and not with guests if your like that. The very first girl we dealt with was like that when we tried to see if we could possibly check in earlier. Samantha was excellent, and the girl with the heart glasses was kind. But the first girl, needs to work somewhere else. "

"The area, property were great but to get into our door my 6’3 250lb man had to push it open with his shoulders, the bathroom sink smelled horrible when it’s running & brushing my teeth was worrisome when you smell it & you’re using that water in our mouth, got the balcony top floor thinking I’d have Marina views like the picture, it was the parking lot & street & the AC made a loud stretch every time… the location did save the lower rating because it’s quiet and beautiful, just needs a few fixings"
