"Beautiful hotel even looking through storm Claudia! The food was first class in the restaurant with some of the best chicken I've tasted. The room was lovely and little touches like light coming on when you opened the cupboard & a night light in the bathroom added to the stay. Bed was soft and comfortable. Very pleasant stay with lovely staff and if we ever go up that was again, definitely high on our list to stay: just hope the weather is better :-)"

"Spotless warm cosy room on a cold Winters night. I like the chalet style rooms in the courtyard area which are dog friendly as you can just pop out to water the dog on the vast lawn area. Feels more like a “little house”. We had a huge bathroom in room 6, with a separate double shower cubicle and bath. Again lovely and warm radiator in bathroom. Plentiful tea/coffee/hot chocolate choices in room with kettle. Fantastic hosts in pub, welcoming and polite with continental breakfast included in...
