"We arrived quite late and were welcomed by the receptionist who was very helpful. Our overall short stay was good, however the bed was very uncomfortable which was a shame! The springs were palpable in the mattress and this led to a bit of disturbed sleep."

"Overall we were happy with our stay. The outside if the hotel and grounds are pretty, the food in the evening and morning was to a very high standard. We stayed in a very good sized suite, which pleasantly surprisingly had 2 bathrooms with matching showers, toilet and bath. On the whole, the staff were polite and accommodating to our requests. "The main house, gardens and grounds were excellent and well maintained. Our room in the Mews was very large with french windows opening on to a shared patio, essential in this heat. There was no air conditioning, or fan and our phone in the room did not work. We were supplied with a faulty portable fan, but in the end the open doors provided enough cooling air. The shower was superb with enough hot water whenever we needed it. We could have done with a table and chairs to sit and organise...

"The hotel is classed as a 4* hotel. I think this is perhaps because of the amenities and perhaps the size. The hotel rooms are very tired and not up to 4* standard, well the one I had was and lacked things I would have expected in a 4* hotel. There was a small cupboard as a wardrobe with about 3 hangers. One chair. No drawer unit. The bed was very comfortable and the white linen was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I did not see all of the hotel only my room. I would not...
