"Absolutely amazing stay. Staff were brilliant and very helpful, location is perfect and room was great. Breakfast was amazing with lots of chooce available. Only slight blip was the water pressure of the shower. But thks did t detract from a lovely weekend away. Will certainly look to book again. "
"Very friendly staff who were attentive and chatty. Always saying that if you needed anything else just ask. Breakfast was lovely. Ideally situated close to the river which made for a very pleasant walk alongside the river into the City just 5 minutes away. Room was clean and tidy. A lovely 3 night stay. My only criticism is that the wi-fi was very hit and miss, frustratingly dropping out very often."
"The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction."

"Everywhere was clean and tidy. The improvements made by the new owners work much better like the new reception area they have created with a lovely mural of York. The rooms are all being renovated to a good standard with coffee pod machines as well as the usual kettle.We will definitely be back. "

"Property was great, staff were friendly. I'd done online check-in so it was easy. My room was spacious, clean with a very modern bathroom and i love the fact theres a kettle in room. Bar in hotel was well stocked again friendly service and a great space to hang out as we worked out our plans for evening (i had colleague's staying in hotel).
