"Recently stayed for 9 nights in a Club Executive suite, simply loved it.The hotel was perfectly situated only a few minutes from Havelock MRT and restaurants at Roberston Quay. Our room was clean and the bed super comfy. Although a little dated the room suited our needs perfectly. What made our stay exceptional though were the staff. A special shout out to Sophie & Hershiel, 2 lovely ladies who ensured our time and needs were always met with a smile. With our room buffet breakfast and club lounge was included. Breakfast for club rooms is a little up market than the normal buffet with little extras and a special seated area. As club members you have free access to both buffet breakfasts. Evenings have a 2hr window where nibbles and either alcoholic or non alcohol drinks are served. Nibbles varied daily and drinks like wines or spirits and were available for ordering as you want. During the day Club lounge was open for non alcoholic drinks or a coffee bar.
The biggest shout out goes to Iskander who looked after us at breakfast or in the club lounge. He always presented with a big smile, always made us feel at home and always ensured we had everything we needed. There were many fun and informative conversations and we would look forward to his greetings and days topics. The staff were simply amazing ensuring your needs are met and your stay is as special as it should be. well done Furama Riverfront. Highly recommended."
"Great hotel and great location. Our room was 212, and the view was disappointing as there was none. Other than that it was a really nice hotel and a great breakfast buffet. The reception folks were super nice, and even the bell boys. So no complaints."
"A wannabe 5-star hotel.
I booked this hotel as a number of events were held at the Singapore Cricket Club, which was a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is well maintained, in a good position - across from Funan Centre with its beautiful restaurants and modern food courts. My check in reception is at level 3, right next to the breakfast room. It is a high traffic area during the morning rush. While the breakfast offering is adequate, it was not a 5-star breakfast offering. No egg station. Only pre-fried eggs. The breakfast room was more a canteen. No ambience for guests to have a relaxing linger longer breakfast for that second cup of coffee. And the hotel lobby at level 1 was too small to handle groups of departing guests. They mingled next to the door while waiting for their rides. I had to push my way through the crowd just to get out of the hotel in the morning. Would be good if the concierge can usher them to the other end of the area to ensure access to the doorway is not blocked.
On a positive note, the hotel is located towards the end of Colman Street and a short 8 minutes' walk to the lively Clarke Quay prescient. And its only 5 minutes' walk to City Hall MRT station."
"It was amazing the location was great but we had no help to carry our luggage. That was the only issue we had. On the whole I had a great stay . Thank you"
"One of the pools was under renovation, which we did not know at the time of booking.
Check-in was fast. We went up to our room and waited for our luggage to be delivered. It turns out we had to go back outside to tell the bellhop where to take our belongings. All other places we've stayed (even 3 star hotels) our things were brought to our room without us having to find another employee and tell them ourselves.
Rooms are very small. We had a lot of things because we were on the last leg of a 10-day trip, plus a car seat and stroller, and baby cot.
Room service is an option, but we did not know where the menu was. We learned later it is on the television.
I gave feedback on check-in, and we were contacted by the guest services manager who moved us to a delux family room, which really is just 2 connecting rooms.
Breakfast was not included. We paid for breakfast seperately in advance for 3 days and only used 2. Front desk made it sound like we had to choose to pay for all three days up front and did not mention if we had the option to just pay each morning if we wanted. We has breakfast at a restaurant nearby for one mornings, and took the loss.
Great location and amenities but far from a 4-star hotel service experience.
Airport transportation was $70, so as you can imagine, we did not use it.
It very much felt like a 3 star hotel because of the size of the rooms and the front desk staff."
