"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. "We got lucky with parking but there didn’t seem to be enough. The tent cabins are very close together. Lots of noise. I was impressed with the accessibility of the bathroom and shower. We didn’t have to wait at all. Food was pretty good too. There’s linens and pillows on the beds and towels to use for the shower and pool (when it’s open). "
