"Our first few nights were facing the street. The room was cozy but clean. Air conditioner worked well, but was very noisy. Bathroom was tight and door knob was broken. We thought that even though it needed a few things we could make it for the week. It was clean and we wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the room. When we spoke to the front desk about the price difference between the street facing room verses a beach facing room, the wonderful gentleman offered us a free upgrade. The room was reasonably larger, the air conditioner was quite, the bathroom also had more room. The staff was absolutely great. The gentlemen at the front desk were super helpful and a pleasure to chat with. The hotel is right on the beach and easy walking distance to the melacon, shops and restaurants very close. "

"The room was NOTHING like the picture advertised on hotels.com and the “upgraded” room that the app states was “ocean view” looked directly into the window of the building next to it. No safe or refrigerator. First and last time. Definitely a miss for the amount of money I spent. "

"Clean hotel & rooms, great staff, 1/2 block from the beach…can see from our room balcony & from pool rooftop. Many shops & great restaurants close by. Would have been perfect if every room had a fridge. Hotel helped us find a rental & had it delivered & installed. Over priced but worth it for our one month stay. During the first two days of the recent events between the Gov’t & the Cartel, the hotel went over & above looking after us. We were almost immediately given big water bottles. Also, the hotel arranged for hot meals Sunday & Monday…this hotel does not have a kitchen nor a restaurant so no dishes, cutlery, etc. How they rounded up caterers & supplies in such short order is beyond our comprehension but was great food & extremely appreciated. Our sincere thanks to the entire staff. Also we noticed the hotel seems to have adopted a senior citizen. Many in the hotel took a liking to this nice old guy & adopted him too. Big heart at this hotel & big hearted staff. We plan on staying here again next year!"

"The hotel was under significant construction for the entire duration of our stay. From around 10am until approximately 8pm there were jackhammers and loud construction noise throughout the property, which made it very difficult to relax or enjoy the hotel. During our stay the elevator was temporarily out of service, which meant guests had to walk up several flights of stairs to access different parts of the property, including the beach. On some occasions the usual stair access was closed, which meant guests had to pass through areas of the building that were clearly part of the construction zone, with debris and broken materials on the ground. The hotel was also quite empty during our stay, yet when we asked about moving rooms we were told it would cost an additional $75 per night. To be fair, we did not specifically check for construction notices before booking. However, after the issue came up we looked on the hotel’s website and could not find any clear notice explaining that the property was undergoing major construction or that key facilities might be temporarily unavailable. The staff themselves were friendly and helpful and were clearly doing their best, so this is not a criticism of them. However, the property in its current condition does not offer the experience most guests would reasonably expect when booking a hotel stay."

"Great Property. Unit was very spacious and quiet. Great location close to beach and restaurants but just far enough away from the street noise and bustle. Wonderful and helpful staff. Looking forward to a future visit."
