"Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom contained ingenious plumbing devices for convenience and best use of space. Public bath was nice and we'll maintained. Jinbei and slippers provided. Front desk was courteous and professional, check in was quick and easy. Location is close to train and bus terminal. "

Breakfast was filling with a great set offered. Staffs were helpful and patient. Language barrier was not a big issue. They sincerely try their very best to accomodate. "We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Everything about the room was very comfortable and we highly recommend staying here. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us when we encountered an issue with ETC along the way to this hotel in our rental car. (The issue had nothing to do with the hotel.) We asked the front desk how we should handle this issue as tourists and their staff and management went out of their way to make several phone calls on our behalf with the ETC staff and our rental car company explaining what happened. The hotel manager even said that if our rental car company or ETC gave us any issues when we turn our car in, to reach out to him directly and he would help us which was a very compassionate gesture to offer us. Not only will you get a nice and comfortable hotel room if you stay here, but you will also have very emphatic and friendly staff who will go above and beyond! We are very thankful to the hotel management and staff for taking such great care of us! "

"We stayed here as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids - 10, 6 and 4) in the traditional Japanese room. We didn't get in till 6ish and left early so we could get to Kamikochi but I wish we had of added another night or at least got there at check in time to make the most of the facilities. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the onsen. The traditional room is set up for tea when you arrive and then the staff comes back later to make the beds for you. The kids loved the experience. We were also able to wear the yukata to dinner. You can call down for kids ones to be brought up. Staff were lovely. We hadn't booked a food package as I have picky eaters but we went to the dining area on level 1 and were able to order a Japanese set meal for my husband and I and the kids had chicken nuggets, spaghetti and ice-cream. Highly recommend"

"The room size for 2 was adequate, but not much extra space for suitcase storage. The hotel location is close to a main road with lots of dining options, but if you don't have a car to drive, the location is a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station. The buffet breakfast wasn't something I signed up for when making the reservation, but for some reason, for the two nights we stayed there, the buffet was "sold out", so breakfast was unavailable. Otherwise it was a nice stay, and the staff kindly let us check in a little early when we arrived ahead of schedule."
