"Very clean, close proximity to everything"

"I booked this hotel for its location to the Vatican and wasn’t disappointed. It was literally a 5 minute walk from St Peter’s Square. Castel Sant’Angelo is maximum of a 10 minute walk away and this is at a leisurely stroll! There are lots of cafes bars and shops around the hotel and there is a bus stop directly outside the door that takes you anywhere in Rome for €1.50. I used the bus twice- bus 81 to the Colosseum and bus 280 to The Knights of Malta keyhole. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and cheerful which makes all the difference as a solo traveller. I was disappointed that the roof terrace/bar was closed and had been since COVID as this was one of the attractions when booking this accommodation and is still a selling point on Expedia. However there is a very good bar directly below the hotel which I used for my nightly aperitivo instead! The accommodation itself was fine although a little tired looking. However I must stress how clean it was even though it was ready for a refresh which I believe is happening soon due to the sign in the lift. I would definitely recommend a stay if visiting the Vatican"

"Staff very helpful. Fillipi made sure his replacement for the end of his shift was ok because he was not feeling well. I say this is because when staff care for each other then you can tell how they will treat you."

"First of all, there was no staff. No one met us when we got there. We were to be let into the building remotely, but we were not. Another tenant was leaving and allowed us to enter. We were standing out in the rain for 20 minutes before the contact person responded to us. There was an issue with security. The lockbox on the room was not locking, and the Management insisted that I leave the key in there. It took two days for them to get the situation resolved. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. However, just be aware that there are homeless sleeping in the doorways in the surrounding area. This space was more like a dorm room than a hotel room. If that’s your cup of tea that’s perfect. We did not care for it. There was absolutely no hot water in the morning hours and it was sporadic getting hot water in the evening for showers."
