The hotel is literally a 30 second walk to the beach, and if you have the "junior room" you can even see Cozumel from the bed. The hotel is severely "worn". Cracked tiles everywhere, plywood blocking roof access (no pool available), 4 flight walkup, no elevators. It's in the heart of Calle Norte, close to all the shops and restaurants, but the towels provided are a step above newspaper in terms of drying ability. The room had a malfunctioning TV, but good AC, fluctuating water pressure, but at least it did get hot on occasion. This is perfect for someone on a budget, but don't expect more than the absolute basics. Teens on spring break, or just wanting a cheap "on the beach" hotel, is what you're getting. At $60/night can't be much more picky. The downstairs tattoo salon does have a few hookers that will proposition you for "fiestas". The hammock in the room was a nice touch

Good location that was about it. I had booked 4 nights but was only able to stay one which I got 0 sleep. Place is dirty, no hot water in the shower, and felt very unsafe. Checked out early next morning and booked a better place.

All the pictures on tthe website were about 40 years old. The entire hotel looked like a landlord special. Mold everywhere, the belchony railing is rusted and falling off. There are cracked loose tiles all over the stairwell. water for toilet, shower, sink was very weak and at times did not work. The bathtub water did not work only shower and it only sprinkled. The area was full of drug dealers and at night it was incredibly lpud with them doing karaoke or yelling or turning their stereo full blast. A dog can hear barking non stop throughout the night with nobody to stop the dog from barking.the area is very rusty so becareful where u put ur hands. There are small mites and ants all ober the floor so keep your things off ground. They only give u 2 towels and used shampoo

My experience here was OK. The staff was nice and friendly and the location was great. The building its is outdated. The top sheet on the bed had hair on it. Only 2 out of the 4 pillows had fresh lining. Whoever cleaned my room took my pesos off of the stand. It was only $7.00. The bathroom had footprints in the tub and small bugs everywhere. The AC worked great. And the view and balcony is amazing. The jacuzzi and upper terrace don’t look like it has been used in years. It was blocked off. My stay did come with free lounge chair access on the beach. It was an ok cheap place to stay for a couple days. I honestly would come back. That’s why I didn’t complain about any of the negative things. I got what I paid for. And I’m usually a luxury traveler so my opinion comes with a little bias. This was my first time in playa del Carmen. Like it better than Cancun Cozumel and Tulum. Follow my luxury travel on instagram @driptripjay

Habitacion amplia y limpia con vista al mar, personal amable y eficiente. La habitación tiene sus detalles estéticos como la puerta del balcón y la cortina del mismo ya no cierra y se puede ver desde afuera, nada que unas pinzas no solucionen. La tapa del baño ya esta algo gastada y le faltaba un tornillo aun asi era funcional. Todo lo demás muy bien. Lo recomiendo.
