"Great location between train station and downtown and ferry docks to Portofino, Fruttoso, etc. We based here to explore Cinque Terre, Portofino and Santa Margherita Hotel features an excellent gym, helpful and engaged staff, clean rooms, solid WiFi and seems dog friendly. The property is well maintained and looks much younger and hipper than the 20 years it’s been around. I’d definitely would stay at LHP again. Did not try food or drinks, but breakfast was 30 euros per person."

"Very good breakfast and great location"

"As noted by other travelers, beware if booking at Hotel Continental, do not expect the room you booked. I booked the Executive Room and by the pictures, I was expecting a nice room view and spacious bathroom. Then the day before check-in, I got an « upgrade » to Grand Savoia next door. As part of my trip research I did see this place having higher nightly rates. So I was likely switched to equivalent price, but this was definitely a downgrade. The room had no view and bathroom was cramped for me. And there was no shower curtain, so the water splashed everywhere. I wished there were more built in shelving to organize. Otherwise the hotel was nice and breakfast was just okay. The location is convenient next to a train station and walkable to old town. Just don’t expect the room you booked."

"We booked this hotel after quite a bit of research and it did not disappoint. The property is stunning and even better than the photos online show it to be. It is exceptionally well-maintained, very clean, and the staff is outstanding. We booked a larger suite with a balcony over looking the sea and it was breathtaking! The location is perfect as it’s only a short stroll into town and a lovely walk to the majestic town of Portofino! The hotel also had a spectacular cocktail bar open in the evenings and we fell in love with the service and bartenders Mattia, Bogden, and Ruben who made the best drinks (by far) on our trip and customized their cocktails to meet our interests and tastes. They truly made the stay even more special! Thank you! This was one of the more pricey hotels on our trip but worth every Euro and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Absolutely amazing! "Beware, Unfortunately, hotel never mentioned how to get to their location by car, they did reserve a parking spot in the valet garage for us. One problem with this hotel it’s in a bus only lane fine area. Google tells you to a U-turn at intersection light, which is a one-way oncoming traffic-wrong direction fine. Only way to get in is to do your U-turn over a double double line which we got a ticket for but the lowest of fines. The hotel is amazing, clean, beautiful staircase the staff is wonderful, the breakfast is great. The service outstanding. Great location otherwise near Piazza Ferrari. "
