I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the room which was bright, modern and airy but then I had a room overlooking the street though the street noise was of little consequence to me.
There are also rooms that overlook the pool and distance views of the sea, but I noticed that there are others of which the balcony’s are close enough from which to almost touch an adjoining part of the building so best to avoid those if possible.
I reasonably well appointed gym on the top (6th) floor that I used on a daily basis.
The pool was a pleasant relief from the warm seas though the water temperature could be considered cold by some due to the fact that it is only subject to the sun late afternoon due to its location within the hotel and its towering hotel walls, I found the water temperature refreshing after a long day at the beach and soon aclimatise.
The hotel was kept very clean and the staff very helpful even so far as applying spray tanning oil on my back each morning before heading to the beach.
I ate out on a daily basis and so can’t comment on the food but other hotel guests seemed to be satisfied though that comment is speculative.
The beach was just a 8 minute stroll away and the nightlife hub of Bangla road and indoor shopping mall of Jungceylon approximately 15 minutes walk away but there are many other amenities close by such as restaurants, massage facilities and convenience stores.
I’m summary a pleasant stay in a reasonably priced hotel.
