"The property is new and very clean. The amenities are nice. Simone was super friendly and helped us with many questions. Honestly, the rest of the staff, not so much. The area is nice for walking around despite the busy traffic. Everything closes at 8 except fine restaurants that you need a reservation for. Highly recommend the hotel but don’t think we’ll return Genoa."

"I knew going in that it was a shared bathroom so it was about as good as could be expected from that standpoint. Checking in, however was an ordeal. First, I had to really search to find where I checked in. When I finally got them to answer the door, I was told I could check in at 3:30PM. It was 1:30 PM at the time so I just wanted to drop my luggage off to store so I could go see the city. He was adamant about not holding luggage in a reserved area, even though they were a hotel. Instead, I had to pull my large suitcase along the cobbled paths as I attempted to view attractions. The people were not rude, they just didn’t provide many benefits for staying there."

"Imposing modern hotel handily placed for exploring Genoa. Very welcoming staff who take care of your needs. Excellent breakfast provided to get you started. On the expensive side, but highly recommended. "

"The location is great and the room itself was nice and even charming, but I wouldn’t stay here again: - The check-in website takes a long time to fill out b/c country fields don’t populate correctly. We had to try about 5 times for each, and there are many (Country where passport issued, country of residence, etc. for each person). - The web link to get in front door for the first time didn’t work and told us the function wasn’t available. The alternate method (code to lock box) also didn’t work. The company did respond and we got in, but it took a while. - The wifi in the room was terrible to the point of being almost entirely unusable. - The bathroom has a tub, but there is no shower curtain or barrier and you have to hold the shower head (attempting not to spray everywhere). - Biggest issue: There are people onsite who are clearly staff, but when you walk through the common areas they don’t say hello and studiously avoid eye contact. It’s very strange and uncomfortable and makes you feel like you’re invading their space. I understand it’s not a hotel, but some basic courtesy would be nice. - I could do without the repeated reminders that if you leave the door propped open, check out late, etc. you will be charged $200. It’s fine to post policies, but it’s a bit of overkill, especially combined with the unwelcoming staff. All in all, it was a very strange experience."
