The room was clean. However upon arrival there were no towels in the room and I had to request same. The ac in the room no matter how much I turned it down it didn’t feel like it was getting colder but it was cold just wasn’t adjusting. The property itself could use an upgrade. Pool was an average 39inches deep pool but because there was 10 floors of rooms it always seemed full. The WiFi was also barely working. After all it was 3/5 star hotel so expect average. Customer service was top tier despite a little language barrier.

Our stay at the Ramada in Panama was truly enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of by the attentive and friendly staff. The service was excellent, and everything we needed was provided with a smile. The atmosphere was welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. This particular hotel one can see it's been around a long time and with comes wear down. Upon arrival was not the cleanest scent in the lobby nor the elevator which were not clean, Otherwise the domestic cleaner who cleaned our room did her best. On three occasions I did see small roaches, that encouraged me to shake out my luggage before I left. The gym is not clean and the two machines are non functioning, the pool and the immediate area could use an update. The buffet was good and the staff that worked it were great trying to meet every need. That hotel is for a passing traveler not a family with kids for comfort. Other than that I guess you get what you pay for.

Front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming. Great that breakfast was included, one less expense for the trip. Cleaning staff didn’t really dust off beds they were just made. They did clean everything else well. Wish that towels were changed. The property has a lot of maintenance to be done, the floor boards are lifted, moldy walls, room doors have holes, shower heads spurting water, and holes in the walls. The surrounding area feels safe and so many options to eat and drink is a plus. In overall I would love to stay again if I return but things need to be fixed.

I was given a dark and dank room by the lady receptionist who also took so long to check me in. I did ask for a room change later that evening and was offered one from the following day onwards (4 nights). However, the staff on duty the next day didn’t seem to have the info and said she couldn’t move me! Long story short, I was booked into a new room indeed but the info not updated on their system. Also, they don’t keep drinking water in the room besides on the checkin day! Other times, you’re asked to buy! There was no water in the bathroom all day on my last day and the electricity kept going off too. On the positive, the male staff were friendlier and more helpful.

The good: great location in a walkable area. The hotel is located on a street full of restaurants, near a park and 5-10 minutes from a metro station. The staff is amazing! Every single person we interacted with during a one-week stay was nothing short of great. The not so good: this property needs a lot of work, especially on little details. There are no blackout curtains (or any curtains for that matter), so there is no way to keep the room dark. The toilet paper holder was broken. For some reason, there were two hair driers, which is not exactly bad, but looks sloppy and takes away from the counter space. There was a permanent leak in the hallway outside our room, and the smell in our room made us believe there was some water damage that the hotel tried to quickly fix, but didn’t do a great job of it. (They did an okay job masking the smell with a scent plug-in, but I am unfortunately allergic, so had to remove it and try to deal with the smell instead.)
