We booked this hotel last minute due to a 5 day flight delay by WestJet and the Westin Player Bonita not being able to accommodate the related last minute date changes. We did not have a great view in Le Meridian as construction was in progress however the manager Ruth and front desk staff very welcoming and helpful. The delightful old town was worth a daily uber ride to and while the city centre is very busy the restaurants were good (Gaucho and Les Mecs our favourites and only a 2 min walk away). The hotel had a great view of the fireworks on New Year’s Eve from the roof top. It was very hot and had hoped to sit by pool during some days but the pool is very small and never any loungers available. We could not find the gym so did not use this time. The restaurant had some nice local dishes and cocktails looked good. Staff great and felt safe.

Great hotel - unpleasant bed experience

Starting from the positive: - great location - beautiful hotel - very spacious room with good decor (bigger than advertised) - very nice bathroom Negative: - the bed didn’t have a normal cotton sheet, but instead a plastic coated sheet that was uncomfortable when sleeping and I am sure it was not the most breathable material. I actually had to call service in the middle of the night to check if someone forgot to place the normal cotton linen sheet, and I was told this was normal

Nice stay near the bay and many restaurants.

Our stay was pleasant. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was hot. The breakfast buffet was ample and delicious. There were several weird design elements including no night lighting in the room, a glass window in the shower that felt unsafe, and a leaky shower door that "flooded" the bathroom. Also no cups for water in the fitness room.

The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. The ambience was dated. The breakfast buffet was unable to keep up demand. My biggest concern was the lack of toilet accessibility. The accessible rooms had one bar in a very bad spot. The lobby restrooms had a better placed bar, no seat covers and stalls not deep enough. I expected more from a Marriott property. Foodserver Marco was excellent!

We stayed in a suite, 513. We had breakfast included in our package. The suite is very spacious, offered a great view of the Atlantic. My only reservation is that the fridge could have been stocked with some drinks and snacks as they do in hotels in that class in Mexico

My stay was truly enjoyable largely due to the warm and welcoming staff you have at the front desk and working in the dining area. I would specifically like to highlight Thais, Diana, Monica and Ruth. They made recommendations for dinner, responded to my requests for service, addressed me by name and always greeted me with a smile. Several others in the dining area were very accommodating and ready to help with whatever I needed. Keep up the great teamwork!

The hotel is very clean, the service amazing. We want to thanks Odilia Batista she arranged a beautiful BBQ at swimming pool area because We invite my twins sons for they birthday as pass day. It was very incredible service and the price was really good and my guests were available to use the sauna, jacuzzi, gym and swimming pool area. Everything was spectacular. The restaurant is very good, the food is very taste and good price. The restaurant have buffet and you may order your own food. The bar area is really comfortable , peaceful, good music the bartenders are very nice and kind. The hotel is located in a very good area and Beautiful views. Me and my wife really recommend highly this hotel.

The property was in a great location with a lot of things in walking distance! The staff were nice and accommodating. However, the rooms were dirty and outdated. The white robes in the room had brown stains on them and smelled like mildew. There was never enough towels in stock so we had to repeatedly request until we finally got some. No towels at the pool as well. It took a very long time before someone brought some up. Lastly, there were bugs in our room. There was a black bug in the shower when I woke that morning to take a shower. The next morning when I entered the bathroom, there was a brown bug crawling on the floor. The room was not cleaned properly. I never complain to the staff and just made the decision I would never go back there.
