When they offered us a room upgrade with a private balcony and a proper Parisian view, I thought it was a nice gesture. Turns out it became the best part of waking up every morning. The amenities are ridiculous in the best sense. Free minibar. An open bar with hot and cold drinks available all day. Cakes, cookies, savory bites — just there, whenever you want them. An indoor spa with a pool and sauna. These aren’t things you expect to be included; you expect to find a fee attached to each of them. There wasn’t. Breakfast was excellent too — not an afterthought, actually excellent. Here’s the thing: there are plenty of hotels in Paris that sell you on atmosphere and deliver a letdown. Astra Opera is the opposite. It overdelivers on everything it promises, quietly and without making a fuss about it. It’s not hard to understand why it sits at #1 on hotels lists. "The hotel is in a good location close to many resturants/ Cafe. Rooms are small, but good enough if you dont want to spend whole lot of time in the hotel. All the staff are super nice and friendly. Definitely would recommend if you just want to sleep and go sight seeing for a short stay."
