Amazing place! The private onsen was perfect and the private room dinner and breakfast was as authentic as it gets for Japanese style cuisine, will definitely go back!
Very clean and excellent ryokan to stay, half board service was fantastic, room was spacious for the standard room and they have 2 locations for public bath, definitely recommended
The best service I’ve ever received from Natalie who went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. A really unique property where you can completely unwind and relax.
Staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. Our room was comfy and the private onsen was a dream. Food was amazing-lots of local ingredients, which was great to try. I have seen some complaints about it not being super new, but I feel that's part of the charm of this place. Highly recommend!

The staff are friendly and did their best to take care of us. The facility is old though, feels like going back to the 80s.
Staff is amazing! Such a relaxing place. Food was great and they managed to accommodate my vegan sister who was with me, which was very much appreciated. I felt like a spoiled little princess ;)
An amazing place and experience. We had private indoor and outdoor onsen in the room and used it a few times as it was really convenient. Our hosts for the two nights, Natalie and Mizu, were extremely helpful and friendly. The meals, all in a private room, were excellent and gave us an authentic experience of Japanese breakfast and dinner cuisines.
One of the best experiences ever! Such a beautiful place with a garden, tea ceremonies, traditional rooms with a private onsen, comfortable and warm futons. Natalie, translator and hotel staff, was amazing to us, so kind, attentive and welcoming, she went above and beyond for us. We were very happy with our experience, especially having a private onsen facing the garden. It was fun to try traditional food for dinner and breakfast and to wear Japanese yukata and pajamas. We are so greatful for this place! Thank you so much

Great ryokan experience with great service
Traditional Japanese Ryokan. Staff has been very welcoming and kind to our kids and us. Food has been a positive traditional experience. Special meals for our kids has been provided without asking. The outdoor onsen and sauna area has been great. Free shuttle transfer to the nearest stations including luggage support. The room itself is a bit dated but we enjoyed our overnight stay.

We had an interesting stay here. The rooms are worn and dated (we stayed in the old building) and only one of the onsen was nice enough to want to return to. The walls are thin and soundproofing (especially when some random karaoke started) wasn't great. They could do a lot to improve the quality of the property by beautifying the onsen spaces and cleaning up old wall coverings in the room and renovating old areas. The grounds seem neglected -- lots of overgrowth such that I couldn't take a stroll on the boardwalk across the pond without pushing the greenery away. Weeding and cleaning up debris would go a long way to improve the look of the property.
The meals on the other hand were very well done and we had a good experience. They were able to manage my food allergies with no problem; communication with the site beforehand was very good. Meals were served elegantly and the service was great. We had dinner and breakfast in the room. Way too much food as always seems the case with these traditional and extravagant meals.
The free shuttle pick up/drop off at the train station was much appreciated as the location is about a 20 minute drive. The price is definitely less than some other ryokan which are nicer and more convenient, so if you want an authentic experience with a lower price tag, this might be the place for you.

This was one of the best hotels I stayed in in Japan! The service was outstanding, the room was beautiful and very clean. We had our own private mineral tub and even a massage chair. The Kaiseki dinner was outstanding.
I had left behind an important piece of equipment, and the staff found it and emailed me within an hour of leaving the hotel. They mailed it to my next destination for me, I was so relieved!
I can’t say enough about how amazing the service is at this hotel.
The beds were super soft and comfy with fluffy pillows and even an adjustable bed. We got the best night of sleep we had in Japan!
We really enjoyed our time here and appreciated the experience so much. There was some confusion about what we were supposed to do sometimes, and we thought dinner and breakfast were served in our room but we needed to go elsewhere. It was private dining at least. Also wish we'd had futons set out for all of us. The room was meant to be for 6 and had 2 beds. We were only 3 people so could have had the futons and not used the beds, but i think the language barrier led to a misunderstanding in which they thought the 2 adults wanted the beds so only 1 futon was set out before bedtime. The beds were fine; i was just a little disappointed not to have a traditional futon. The grounds were lovely and food was delicious. Especially loved the private onsen and patio in our room.
