I love that this hotel is right in the train station. The station has a lot of shopping and restaurant options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a variety of items near reception in case you forgot anything.

The hotel is good - the room is a bit on the small side (but that is fairly normal for Japanese hotels) The hotel can be accessed directly from the Kanazawa train station (no need to go outside - very helpful on rainy days). The area around the station is very tourist friendly - and a quick bus ride can get you all the attractions. It is a great hotel if you like me don’t have a lot of time to visit Kanazawa, but do want to see some this interesting city. I would definitely recommend this hotel

The hotel is right on top of the train station and that makes the travelling super easy. Lots and lots of shopping and dining within the train station. Kanazawa castle, museum, Cha Ya districts and temples are easy to get to via the loop tour bus. The location of the hotel made travelling easier and more enjoyable. Definitely the first choice of accommodation.

Entrance is a bit not visible but you do not have to exit the station. Room was clean with nice view, no bottled water included. Kanazawa station is a big shopping mall as well so eveything you need is here. You can buy the Kanazawa bus loop at the tourist info centre.

The hotel is suitable for those who don’t want frills or space . The room was tiny with no window, the pillows seemed to be made of impacted straw and the hardest I’ve ever slept on . I’m glad I was only there 2 nights . The shower however was great and the cleaning ladies lovely , really polite and courteous.

Very convenient location as the hotel is practically on top of the train station. Staffs can speak English and we're very helpful. Beside the check in counter is a table of free basic needs like toiletries, accessories, drinks, ect. We really like this approach as this cut downs on waste and we only need to take what we need.

Smaller room as I expected as a Japanese Hotel room. Nice and clean. The location was perfect for people with large luggage because the hotel entrance was in the train station terminal and adjacent to the station shoppingand dining building. Still, it was very quiet. Complementary toiletries, drip coffee packs and tea bags were in the lobby to hunt. If you ask, they have some free magazines for sightseeing information and they were very helpful info.

We love this place. Very nice location. Our only issue was that the room was extra small. You could barely get into the room. I guess the moral of the story is try to check the room size before booking. That's on us. But overall everything was beautiful and convenient.

We recently enjoyed a 3-night stay at the JR Via Inn Kanazawa, and we couldn't have been happier with the location and overall experience. The hotel's direct connection to JR Kanazawa Station is an absolute game-changer. The surrounding area is a vibrant hub of shopping and dining, offering a plethora of options right at your doorstep. Despite its proximity to the bustling train station, I was amazed at how quiet the rooms were. I never experienced any noise disturbances, ensuring a peaceful and restful stay. The rooms themselves were impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed for functionality. While not overly spacious, they provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I asked staff to move my luggage to my room but the young staff said I’m alone here, I can help to take your luggage with you. I wondered why he can’t go and move my luggage by himself if he can go with me, so I said I’m okey and asked other staff to look after mine. She was politely said sure and I could leave the hotel with my family. I think the young staff was student or something as he said 僕は, not 私は(more professional). Location is good as it is just above of the station. However, the bathroom is not the same level. The room was okey but small. I paid 17000mish yen but I felt it is rather a budget hotel and over price.
