"No available breakfast facilities. Restaurant was full of lethargic American tourists who were supposed to have cleared so other guests could eat. Room aircon did not have ability to cool room. TV remote and interaction with the TV could be politely described as cumbersome. "

"Staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean, with an excellent view. But the bed was not very comfortable, and the heating was not brilliant. The fixtures and fittings were worn and dated. Breakfast was ok, but could do with a decent coffee machine as you would find in similar setups. So in short, a potentially lovely place that just needs investment to upgrade it."

"Beautiful hotel rooms are well kept and in excellent condition. The food in the bowes incline is the best around I could have stayed at a relatives house but wanted to eat and have a drink here - delicious!"

"Room was clean and staff friendly. TV only had 2 channels that worked and when you flush the toilet the bedroom walls shook as if something was going to errupt from within. Breakfast was a disapointment and not worth. It was meant to serve until 10:30 but at 9am it was like locusts had attacked. Whilst hot food did eventually get restocked the pastries etc didnt. "

"The thermostat to the radiators didn’t work so we couldn’t turn the temperature down and were therefore uncomfortably hot and got limited sleep. The mattress added to the lack of sleep as it was very uncomfortable. The door to our room you could close from the inside with a hard shove but you couldn’t close from the outside so we couldn’t leave anything valuable in the room. "Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was very well equipped with everything you’d need for a short or longer stay. Plenty of secure parking and fabulous breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel. "
