Quiet, clean and conveniently located place. We enjoyed our star there a lot. Thanks a lot! Next time we come to Montreal we will stay here again. All the basic things we need withouts unnecessary and costly extras.
The location was perfect. Easy access to everything by foot or Metro. Also right across the street from a stunning, huge park. The place was very quiet! Not much to look at on the outside, but perfect fine on the inside. Would stay again.
It was a great place to stay! Right on Parc Fontaine, which is fantastic, and a short walk to busses and metro. Charming and comfortable. We would definately stay there again.
Chez Francois is kept clean and quiet. Bed and pillows were clean and comfy. Bathroom was clean. The main public room was ok. Could definitely use a refresh and an update. Free tea, coffee and cereal available
Lot’s of dining options within walking distance (0.5 miles). Off street parking behind building was $15 per day which was great. Host was very quick to respond to questions.
Lovely little B&B near a large park. Many different restaurants, pubs and cafés within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The owner was very quick to answer all questions and assist us with any needs. You can have a breakfast of cereal with coffee or tea, but there is also a café very close that provides a full breakfast at a reduced price, and great Guatemalan coffee. The room and bathroom was spotless with everything we needed. We will definitely stay again when in Montreal.
This is the first B&B I stayed. I have to say it met my expectation of a 3* hotel I would normally stay. Communication was great and on prompt. I felt safe accepting this location safe just how promptly my questions were answered.
Luckly, other room occupants also very quiet, considerate and kept the place neat. I would stay here again.
We had a comfortable stay at Chez Francois. Our room faced the street, but was surprisingly quiet. Access to the park was lovely, and we enjoyed walking in the Plateau neighborhood nearby. This place is not convenient the Metro, however.
It is very beautiful townhouse and room is clean. The host is very helpful and kind. I had real green tea leaves from her kitchen this Fall when I am visiting Montreal.
Merci, Xiexie
The location was great in a more residential/park area with grocery stores and restaurants nearby and much cheaper in price than old/downtown Montreal lodging. This property is more Air B&B with no front desk so check-in was via different 6 digit code locks on front and room doors. Checkin would be difficult without guest having cell phone coverage in Canada as check-in instructions were sent just 2 days before check-in. Parking was CAD 15 per night and just behind property and they wanted a sent photo of your parked car. We dropped luggage at front entrance then drove car around the block to alley and parking location. Reverse this when leaving. The common area had kitchen and TV viewing area for about 5 rooms but never crowded during our autumn weekday stay. The staff are only on phone but were very nice answering questions in English. Property could be a problem for guests with mobility issues or heavy luggage as there are about 15+ steps and no elevator. The laundry dryer was stuffed with sheets our entire stay so not used. As our room was next to laundry, this was good as no noise issue. We walked to old/downtown and back and got 20000+ steps that day but public transit is nearby.
The smoke detector in the hall was beeping both days we were there. It was sold as an B&B. A loaf of bread next to a toaster and a bowl of apples isn’t a breakfast. The people that worked there were short - that must explain why the didn’t know there was a huge spiderweb in the entryway. No problem my head took care of it, it was in a good location.

4 stars??
Our accommodations were fine but I would not rate this as a 4-star B&B. The rooms were located very close to one another around a sitting area that was clean but shabby. Our room was very small with a double bed that was uncomfortable. There was no cleaning service during our 3 night stay. Coffee service was good. Parking space costs extra behind the building appreciated. Must be able to climb steep stairs to access accommodations.
A nice, comfortable bed and breakfast in truly Montreal style, just across from the park. I took the first room size upgrade for one person, based on the website photos. The kitchen offering a simple, self-serve breakfast had a home like atmosphere.
Also a great location, I enjoyed an hour long walk from the City centre rather than taking a taxi.
One thing I found strange about the check in - while I exchanged texts with the staff to confirm arrival time and the entrance codes, there was no mention of threre being no main entrance, or no staff iaround at any time.
It seemed somewhat "cryptic" finding notes on the doors directing to the next entrance, as the only entrance turned out to be upstairs through the external stairwell. This could have been better explained by text/email prior to arrival.
The room was spotless! Staff is excellent. Flawless communications. Responding to questions within minutes. Location is great. Perfect B&B. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back.

Great location, not really a b & b never met the owner and not sure what the breakfast arrangement was.
Nice clean and tidy property, good location, didn’t see any staff was given access codes for front door and then room which was fine. Nice communal area for tea and breakfast cereal / milk / coffee supplied. Aircon in room was a lifesaver as it was a heatwave!

It is not quite a bed and breakfast place, but we enjoyed coming in and going out unannounced. There was no front reception or a lobby per se. We liked our seamless stay with keypad entry and Irish goodbye. We would highly likely to stay here again. The room was tidy with everything we needed.
