"Google Maps took me to an adjacent road, Common Road, which I drove up looking for the guest house. I asked a gardener who said they thought it might be next door. I drove back onto the main road and saw a small lane on the right and a sign propped against the wall showing Church Farm guest house. There was no sign for anyone coming from Abergavenny, like me. "One night stay. Very friendly staff. Lovely village location with nice view of the Wye valley hillsides. Very reasonable pub standard evening meal, breakfast was spot on. The room was clean and comfortable with all the bits you would expect, kettle with tea and coffee, a nice bottle of sparkling water, TV, good quality soap and shower gel etc. Great value for a very reasonable price. Add in that they served a well kept pint of Tribute Ale."

"The best thing about this hotel is the location which is fantastic, and the staff were very nice. We stayed in the Oak Suite which is apparently the best room; it benefits from a private terrace with a pair of easy chairs to watch the river and it's occupancy go by, which is lovely. For me it definitely wasn't a four star, but a fair three star hotel. There was a temporary kitchen which also hampered them as well as the view. The room was clean and airy with a (strangely grubby!)Juliet balcony...

"This is part of the Ramada Resort chain. It is situated off a main road with spread out buildings in picturesque grounds and decent parking close to the main building and reception. I had a really nice room with a fully functioning fan to offset the 30+ degree temperatures. I used the onsite fitness facility which was pretty well equipped for all my cardio and weights needs. The shower was much appreciated after the workout and led to a great night's rest on a very comfy bed. Breakfast was...

"Overall pretty great, but definitely a few negatives. Cleanliness was not 100%, by a long shot. Room was incredibly hot, oh so unbearably hot. We opened the sliding door as it was cool outside, but then flooded our room with bugs (100's of them). Room was close to the "lake", aka still water pond. Hence all of the bugs. If you are going to book this hotel, definitely book away from the pond or do not come in the hotter summer months. Staff were awesome, exceptionally amazing."

"Lovely old building. Staff were excellent, helpful and cheerful. Very nice breakfasts, didn't dine there in the evening, so can't comment on the evening meals. Having parking to the rear was most useful, but has limited number of spaces. Only "negative" was being a very old property the stairs were a bit of a challenge if you are on the top floor."
