"Overall we were very satisfied with our stay. This was a great place for us to spend our 5 nights in Kyoto as it was close/walking distance from Kyoto station and had more than enough space for our family of four. We were looking for something that had ensuite laundry and a kitchenette so we could prepare our own meals, and this location had both.
To make it more convenient, it would have been nice if they had a few more items in the suite like a iron/ironing board, which is usually in hotel accommodations, and a broom/mop to tidy up to the space. As well as a second mirror outside of the bathroom would have helped when four people are getting ready in the mornings, there is a second one in the shower area but that isn't convenient when the floors wet/steamed.
Heads up that this location requires you pay the accommodation tax in cash at the end of the stay, which for the 5 nights was only 4000 Yen, and it was noted in expedia to expect this at each place so I wasn't surprised. Out of the 4 places we stayed at on our trip it was the only one that hadn't factored it into the expedia price and required additional money though."
