"For $500 per night, the hotel could have at least had complimentary coffee and water for guests, the basics. the refrigerator was wobbly and not well maintained. The blinds could not come down. I reserved a king size bed and was given a room with two double beds; luckily the very nice person at the bell station (Ana) got us moved to another room. I would never refer anyone to the Grand Central Hyatt."

"Pay attention to what you’re charged! I loved the hotel experience itself. The facilities were beautiful, the room was comfortable and extremely clean, and the staff were wonderful. I can't give a full 5-star review because I was charged for a bottle of wine that I neither asked for, received, nor charged to the room. I discovered this after leaving - we were late for our flight and had to rush - and I called within a few hours to dispute the charge, leaving a message. I subsequently called again and sent two email messages to accounts receivable - and as of today, six weeks later, I have not received a single response. I'm quite disappointed, as every other part of the experience was wonderful. But I do think the property owes their guests the decency of a response to billing inquiries. "

"First time guest. Was there for work, then shifted to vacation mode. Was told that the lobby area was recently renovated and it was a good collaborative space. The stay as a whole was average. Front desk staff was polite. A lot of attitude from others. Beds in the standard double bed room were too small for a couple to share. Mattress was decent. Pillows were too soft. Cleanliness of rooms could be vastly better. Found prior guests' clothes behind one of the beds. Bathrooms and tub are super small. Elevators were being worked on, so they felt sketchy. Restaurant food was not good. Used the "nightly $35 credit" once. Water bottle vouchers came in handy. A bunch of broken equipment in fitness area. I got upsold at check-in for a room on a higher floor an extra $35/night. Booked on Expedia. Good location. Walking distance to Central Park & Times Square. Other landmarks are short train/bus rides. Looking back, I should have switched hotels. "

"Room not ready at 5pm. Told to wait but then given room with no a/c but $100 credit as recompense. Shower floods. Only two medium and two small towels for two guests. Got more but feel more/larger should be standard. "
