Rooms are wood framed with an OK bed; but the lights are dim, parking is bad (old asphalt, huge amount of craps in the back where you park: old washer, wood scraps, work shop stuffs, and the whole exterior needs repairs and painting. Nice view from the bars but the wood is bad. Certainly no chefs here. Frozen industrial pizza dough base, forget the breakfast. and I could not stay another day. No restaurants around. "Perfekt. Freundlicher Empfang, gemütliches und sauberes Zimmer mit schöner Sitzgelegenheit direkt vor dem Zimmer. Toll fanden wir auch die Möglichkeit gratis nach dem Tongariro crossing den Jacuzzi mit 40 Grad für 30 min zu nutzen. Shuttle wird vom Motel auch angeboten, so dass man das Auto für den Tangariro Alpine Crossing komplett stehen lassen kann . Wir fanden lediglich die Matratze zu weich und das Bett quitschte m.E. aus Altersgründen, aber nach 9 h Wanderung konnten wir gut schlafen :-)"

"It looks like the place has been going thru renovations. The room has new kitchen and floor, may be carpet too. It is about 15-20 min. to the NP visitor center and many thrailheads and has restaurants and supermarket nearby. Since the room has full pane glass as wall and access door along the corridor ( much like patio door ) which allows full view of the mountains and also tenants walking on the corridor. For privacy, you need to close the curtain."

"The room was clean, bathroom tiny, couldn't fill the jug in the bathroom basin. My room was downstairs and the guests in the room above, you could hear walking around and ceiling creaked every time they moved around."

"We stayed 2 nights in the ‘deluxe’ double room No 4 directly behind reception. The self check-in process was very easy to use. I suspect like everyone else we were there to do the Alpine Crossing. So in that context it suited us fine, only a few minutes drive to the pickup point. The room was en-suite, the shower was okay once it warmed up and it had a decent TV with a range of channels. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall very good value."
