Manowhenua Lodge was a great accommodation with great facilities that made it fun and feel homely. A big part of that was the service from Tracey too! She even lent me some hiking poles for my trek abd was so knowledgeable. This is the only accommodation I'd stay in, in National Park from now on. It was also great socially. 10/10
Great place. Tracy was a lovely host. Welcoming us warmly and arranjing our stay accordingly. Strongly recommended. Clean and tidy. Great kitchen facilities. Well equipped.
We arrived and were met by the hosts. Apparently due to practical issues the hostel was closed but rather than cancel us they had put us in a private bungalow...our own bedroom living room kitchen and bathroom... fabulous!!
Tracy and Thomas are friendly and responsible. The bathroom and toilet were clean. The communal kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need to cook meals just like at home. My kids especially loved the activity room, which is quite spacious and contains a ping pong table, snooker table, and board games that kept them entertained. My family and I really appreciated the hospitality and facilities during our stay.
The owners are very nice, accomodating and friendly. It's our first time to check in with this type of motel. The dining, toilet and living room are separate from our room. It's really unique but we still want our privacy and would like to have our own toilet in our room. Overall it was a nice experience.
Very friendly staff for this hostel. Our family had our own room with a double bed and twin bunks. Worked great for us. There was a communal kitchen with bins in the fridge to keep our stuff separate; bathroom and showers down the hall were very clean--nice hot water showers! Our kids loved the hang out room which had Foosball, ping pong, and pool table. Great location close to Tongariro National Park.
