Hotel offers excellent value for money and is a great base for exploring the area. While the hotel is comfortable, it would benefit from some renovations, particularly the bathrooms. There is plenty of on-site parking, and the restaurant serves a great selection of tasty food. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for affordable accommodation in the region.

I really enjoyed the loft that this hotel has which was a good use of space. The restaurant was delicious and the view of the mountains and volcano were spectacular. Easy to find the hotel. Would stay here again if I were in the area.

We arrived later in the evening than we wanted to and the front desk and restaurant were cleaning up to close for the night. The staff was great and we were able to order food and drinks after 9 hours of travel by plane and car. Our room was fine for the night just don't expect to do anything more than wash your hands or brush your teeth in the tiny bathroom sink. Overall, fine room for an overnight stay, if you're there for more time maybe see if they have a room with a larger bathroom. If I ever make it back to New Zealand and am heading to Mt. Ruapehu, I'll stay here.

When visiting this part of the country, it is very remote, and the park hotel was the perfect spot away from everything. While the rooms are small, they are comfortable and easily accessible. The restaurant also is very good and has breathtaking views of the mountainside from their patio area. While there is nothing really around other than a small convenience store, the hotel more than makes up for that with their excellent service. Would highly recommend!
