"Conveniently located
The green Line (D) stops right at the front door
The hotel is only .9 mi to the longwood medical area and a pleasant easy walk
Trader Joes and many wonderful restaurants and shops are within walking distance
I always stay here (Two and three times and year and always feel at home)
Continental breakfast is just that - a little something for everyone"
"This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel very well maintained very clean. The staff is very professional and helpful. I am in a wheelchair and could not access the continental breakfast area to make a waffle and every day an employee helped me.
For other disabled guest, I will say that the coffee area and the breakfast area are definitely not handicapped accessible so if you come here, ask for help"
"Meh. This property needs some love. Worn carpets, front door on the fritz, leaky ceiling in the breakfast area, broken Nespresso machine, ice maker not working. The buffet was pretty sad - lukewarm coffee, waffles that were barely edible, and just generally not worth the price. I’ve stayed at the other AC Mariott in Somerville and it was MUCH better. Likely won’t book again. On the upside, it’s located next to a lovely walking path. "
"I have to say I am very dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel. We reserved a deluxe king room on the executive level with a sofa bed, but upon arrival, none of these rooms were available. Instead, we were given a handicap-accessible room on the second floor facing a back patio where people gathered and talked at all hours.
To make matters worse, instead of a proper sofa bed, my son was given a rollaway bed with an extremely hard mattress. The bathroom lacked even basic space to place toiletries, and the bathtub was clogged for the first two days. I reported this issue on the first day, but it wasn’t addressed until I complained again the following day.
I requested a room change twice, but was only offered a similar room without handicap features—not the room category I had originally paid for. After four nights, it was clear that getting the room we reserved was simply not going to happen.
Additionally, the club lounge is closed on weekends, something that was never disclosed anywhere during booking.
As a frequent traveler and a Platinum member with Expedia, I was especially disappointed by how this situation was handled. The staff repeatedly used the excuse that my reservation was made through a third party, and as a result, made no real effort to improve our stay or provide a satisfactory solution.
Overall, this experience fell far below expectations and was extremely frustrating."
"The host was very nice, clean, and convenient! The front desk staff were great! We asked for additional towels a couple of times, they were never delivered. "
"This was such a fun location and a great way for people to share a room and save some money in downtown Boston. We loved the experience, the hotel, and the staff. 10/10. Would stay here again!"
