"Hi highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel near Old Town Quito. Mario and Blanco were fantastic hosts from helping us during our very late arrivals, to a wonderful breakfast each morning, helping us with suggestions on where to go in Old Town, making our dinner reservation & transport to the airport. All were perfect! "

"The breakfasts were a highlight. We were always asked what time we wanted breakfast and each day we were greeted with a healthy, tasty and Ecuadorian breakfast and fresh juice. The hotel is conveniently located in the historic Old Town but on the outskirts so there is little noise. For us a highlight was being able to watch the New Year's Eve tradition of burning effigies right outside of our window because it is in a residential neighbourhood. "The hotel has Amazing views of the surrounding hills & city . It is just 10 mins walk into the historical town downhill . We got very in expensive taxi back up the hill ! Hotel was very accommodating and arranged for transportation from airport and on to our next destination in Mindo. Breakfast was cooked to order, plentiful and delicious. "I can't praise the staff enough, they, particularly Yale, went beyond the call of duty to assist us. Although, there are some stairs up to the rooms, help was available to carry our bags. The room was clean and tidy. I wish we could have spent a couple more nights."

"Casa San Marcos hotel was amazing! Such beatiful building ( was build in 1702) with all its antiques, arts all over and modern amenities for very special and unique stay. We felt we were staying in a castle two centuries ago though with all the modern day comfort and luxury."
