"Very nice inn like hotel. Room was spacious and clean. They sent staff to meet our taxi and walk us to the hotel. Nice dinner and breakfast. The room are filled with tapestries and darker wood and colours so thats a different vibe than a modern hotel. Front desk staff very pleasant. "

Not much variety on breakfast options & as per owner "No Mas!" screaming at the staff not to give anything to paying guest - only maximum of 2 cups of coffee per person & not being offered exactly on the 9 o'clock dot (end of breakfast time). "The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast delicious. This hotel was also in as great location! You have to use common sense at night time because the area becomes a little unsafe, but it’s perfectly fine during daytime. "

"This hotel is beautiful. The room was very comfortable, featuring premium sheets and towels. One thing to note is that there is no elevator. This wasn’t an issue for us, but if you have trouble with stairs, be sure to request a ground-floor room."

"Casa San Marcos hotel was amazing! Such beatiful building ( was build in 1702) with all its antiques, arts all over and modern amenities for very special and unique stay. We felt we were staying in a castle two centuries ago though with all the modern day comfort and luxury."

"Loved the hostel. Has the historic rustic vibe. Have daily events and walking tour on board schedule. In or around the old historic town. Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor."
